Futures — TradingView Alerts

Every time your TradingView alert fires, a trade lands in your Needs Review queue automatically — you just add your notes and it's a complete journal entry. This needs an existing strategy or signal on your chart; it won't create signals for you.

In TradingView, right-click your chart → "Add Alert"

Set the condition to your strategy's signal (or whatever you're already watching to enter/exit).

In the "Notifications" tab, check "Webhook URL" and paste this in

In the "Message" box, replace the default text with this

You'll need two separate alerts — one for entries, one for exits — unless your Pine Script is a full strategy(), in which case ask about the single-alert shortcut.

This sends one real test trade through the same pipeline your alerts use — the fastest way to know for certain it's wired up correctly.

Not showing up?

Double check the "Webhook URL" checkbox is actually checked in TradingView's Notifications tab, not just the URL typed in
Make sure nothing else got left in the Message box alongside the template
Alerts fire once per bar close by default — check your alert's "frequency" setting if you expected it to fire on every tick
Free TradingView plans limit how many active alerts you can have — check you haven't hit that cap

Note: this covers stocks, options, and crypto. Futures brokers (Tradovate, NinjaTrader, etc.) aren't supported by broker-sync providers yet — use the TradingView method above for futures.
